The sea caves on Eua Island are
reported to be the 7th best
diving spot in the world. One cave is likened to a huge cathedral
and visibility is 60 to 80m year round. Sharks, groupers and
school fish are often found is this area. Eua diving has drop-offs,
sea mountains, caves and much more.
The cathedral is about 100 metres long, 50 metres wide and
30 metres deep. The entrance is approx 28 metres. You come
into a big hall with three largish holes on top. Light pours
in as if a spotlight has been turned on. The last hole in
the cathedral is nearly on the surface and directly in front
of the "Eua Cliff". When you look up from the
28 metre mark to the hole you can see and hear the breakers.
It is a natural spectacle and one that is hard to beat. In
the end there is a 20 metre tunnel that allows you to dive
up into a big cave which goes up almost to the surface and
faces the ocean.
Eua Diving -offers 2 tank dives US$55.00
(own equipment)
or diving trips to Eua can be arranged by Deep Blue Diving
in Tongatapu including diving equipment, boat transfers, and
overnight accommodation.

at the Sandy Beach Resort on
the Foa Island in the Ha'apai Island Group.
The resort is situated on the most beautiful beach in the islands.
Small coral reefs within the blue lagoon invite you to swim
and snorkel. It is absolutely ideal for first diving lessons,
night diving and macro photography. Beginner and inexperienced

with caves, canyons, caverns, tunnels and walls with green grape
alga or colourful coral gardens. You'll see all kinds of tropical
fish, sharks, tuna fish, turtles, eagle rays and many more.
