Atata Fishing-The
Royal Sunset Resort operates the 24 ft launch outfitted with
180 HP BMW inboard motor, fishfinder, outriggers and toilet.
Their fishing base located on Atata Island just 30 minutes by
boat from Nuku'alofa.
Known for its fishing prowess, the inhabitants of Atata Island
have been fishing for Yellow fin and Skip jack tuna, Wahoo,
Mahimahi and Marlin from open boats for over 100 years. Similarly,
sport fishermen and women have the opportunity of fishing the
well known 'Duffs Reef, (undersea mountain) and Hunga areas.
Royal Sunset Sport Fishing caters for experienced fisherman
and for those who would like to try,' learn, and have fun. All
fish caught belong to the boat. Gear supplied are: 2x Shimano
50W reels + 24kg Stoker rods, 2xShimano Triton TLD25 + 15kg
Stoker rods, 2xKilwell Sceptre 30-50lb rods with Renn Senator

| Hakula Fishing-Operate
the "MV Hakula" which is a 34ft purpose built game
fishing boat powered by twin diesel 105hp Nissan motors and
all necessary safety equipment. It has all the comforts with
a large cockpit, sun canopy, shower and toilet. MV Hakula's
tackle includes first class Shimano Tiagra Reels and Kilwell
130lb bent butt chair rods. All lighter line classes to 15 kilo
are also available. The fish rich waters of Vava'u team with
Pelagic game species. It is only a 30 to 40 minute boat journey
from Hakula lodge before anglers start fishing in excess of
1000 metres of deep blue water. Anglers can encounter Blue,
Black and Stripped Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Yellowfin,
Skip Jack Tuna. Cast Poppers for the dynamic Giant Trevally
and Blue Fin Trevally or jig for mighty Dogtooth Tuna. During
the evening they might want to drift for Broadbill, the options
are endless.

Kiwi Magic-Game
Fishing operates a 34 foot sportfisher with state of the art
electronics and fishing tackle.
Giant Blue Marlin, Sailfish of World Record class and all the
other tropical pelagics Mahamahi,Yellow Fin Tuna, Black Marlin
and Striped Marlin are typical catches. Captain Keith McKee,
a New Zealander, with his vessel KIWI MAGIC, pioneered sport
fishing in VAVA'U in 1990, and Kiwi Magic was the top scoring
charter boat in the Kingdom of Tonga in 1995 and 1996.

Ika Lahi
Game Fishing-Operate
three customised game boats to choose from. Specia lize
in live baiting for marlin, chasing the majestic billfish,
light tackle sport fishing and reef fishing. Your host, Steve
Campbell is Tonga's number one skipper, a record he has held
for 5 consecutive seasons-most Billfish caught and tagged
each year. Anglers can encounter billfish including blue,
black and striped marlin, sailfish, yellow fin tuna, dogtooth
tuna, coral trout wahoo, mahimahi and a host of other hard
fighting reef fish. You can fish light to heavy tackle. Steve
fishes hard-out by 7:30am and back around 5:30pm. The Ika
Lahi Game Fishing lodge is located only 10 minutes from the
fishing areas and 1000m of water. The fleet is equipped with
Shimano tackle 6kg-60kg. Ika Lahi also has it's own IGFA certified
weigh station.

| Eua Island-
Is a new fishing destination. You can do some fishing off the
rocks along with the locals or fishing charters can be arranged
with the "Hideaway" boat. You will need to bring your
own fishing equipment, however. During the Whale season -July
to October you can experience the magic of fishing while viewing
the whales playing and breaching in front of you. The ocean
is teaming with Pacific Blue, Black and striped Marlin, Yellow
Fin and Dogtooth Tuna, Mahimahi, Wahoo, Grouper,and Giant Trevally.

| Eua Island-
Fishing is a unique experience in Niuatoputapu as you have the
volcano of Tafahi in the background of your fishing day. During
the day the volcano changes color from black, to gray to green.
Travel by Palm Tree Resort Motor Boat and fish for Mahimahi,
tuna, trevali, Barracuda, wahoo and snapper. Fishing trips daily
except Sunday (3 hours) Note: Departure times depend on the
tides.
