Pangaimotu Island located just 4
km off Nuku'alofa is the closest of the 3 off shore islands
including Fafa
and Atata. The
island has lovely white sandy beaches and excellent snorkelling.
It is a 10 minute boat trip from the Nuku'alofa Harbour. The
boat service departs daily at 10am, 11am and returns at 4pm
and 5pm. There is excellent snorkelling in the marine reserve
off the island's north-west shore and around the half-submerged
wreck of "My Lady Lata II"
near the landing site. It takes approximately 20 minutes to
walk around the island and there is also an interesting nature
trail.

on the white sandy beach, swimming in the crystal clear turquoise

trip to Makah'a Reef available additional TOP$6.00 . If you
are staying in Nuku'alofa this is a perfect way to spend the
day.
3 beach fale's located on Pangaimotu
Island which is only a 10 minute boat trip from Nuku'alofa towne,
however, feels like you are light years away from the hustle
and bustle of city life. Laze away the day on a white sandy
beach with excellent swimming and snorkelling. The bungalows
feature double or 2 single beds, mosquito netting, table and
chairs facing the lagoon and private shower and toilet (note:
only cold water). There is also an 10 bed dorm which features
a communal shower and toilet and large picnic table. Note: Electricity
in the fale's is not always available, however, there are kerosene
lamps in each accommodation. The Resort offers snorkelling trips
to Makah'a Reef Island with its very large coral heads which
serve as a breeding ground for a large variety of colorful fish.
Snorkelling trips cost TOP $6.00 and snorkel gear can be hired.
The resort features a beachfront restaurant and bar. Note: Only
